Educational leaders' information seeking behavior and problem solving - an explorative study

Publikation: KonferencebidragPosterForskningfagfællebedømt

This poster presents the results from an explorative survey study carried out in fall 2015 of 66 educational leaders and their preferences for information sources for problem solving and educational development. The results show that preferences and use of specific information sources representing different perspectives of quality in education may influence educational leaders’ approach to educational leadership: colleague based, bureaucratic and knowledge based. Figure 2 shows how preferred approach to information seeking across educational leaders was associated with specific approaches to leadership. The results from the study should inform and help educational leaders make reflected decisions concerning quality in higher education.
