Helena Mejer
Senior adviser, Senior Advisor
My main areas of research are parasite transmission, parasite population dynamics and alternative parasite control measures relevant to the organic swine and sheep production. I have primarily studied Ascaris suum, Trichuris suis and Oesophagostomum dentatum in pigs but I have also been working with strongyle infections in sheep. I am currently the technical coordinator of a project on cysticercosis in Tanzania and Mozambique. I participate in teaching of the parasitology course that is part of the veterinary curiculum.
