Centerleder

Ravinder Kaur er lektor i moderne indien- og sydasienstudier. Hun er desuden centerleder for Centre of Global South-Asian Studies. Hendes nuværende forskning har fokus på globale transformationer, særlig Indiens transformation fra postkoloni til vækstmarked i det 21. århundredes globale politiske økonomi.

Hun arbejder på tværs af historie, antropologi, og internationale politik. Hun er og har været Primary Investigator af to  kollektive projekter ‘Emerging Worlds: Explorations of New South-South Connections’ (2014-2019)‘ og Nation in Motion: Globalization, Governance and Development in New India’ (2010-2015 - afsluttet)

Specifically, my area of expertise relates to the making of the postcolonial State, nation and nationalism; visual politics, histories of the Third World, emerging markets, refugee resettlement, Partition memory and citizenship.
