Joined the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sport (NEXS) in July 2015. Previously worked at the School of Sport and Exercise Science, University of Lincoln, University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and studied at the University of Hull (PhD) Loughborough University (BSc hons and MSc) and the University of Leeds (MSc). Currently supervises four Postgraduate students and is co-founder of the HART research group (see www.hartresearch.org.uk/).
Aktuel forskning
- Theme 1: The study of embodied experiences during physical activity, sport and exercise amongst several marginalised groups.
- Theme 2: Monitoring and evaluation of community-based physical activity and health and sports interventions in marginalised groups, including older adults, disabled children, parents and pre-school aged children, GP referrals and people with severe and enduring mental illness.
- Theme 3: The study of globalisation and embodiment, particularly in relation to migration, race, ethnicity and diaspora, national identity, and in terms of athletic labour migration.
