N2 - Patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS) often experience bothersome symptoms from the gastrointestinal system and the urinary tract, and they may suffer from sexual dysfunction. These problems can diminish quality of life, and therefore it is important that they are addressed and treated whenever possible. Unfortunately, a limited body of research in the area suggests that this is not always the case, possibly because neither patients nor medical professionals bring up the issues during consultations. More studies are needed to further elucidate the situation.
