N2 - In December 2019, the European Commission introduced the EU Green Deal a long-term policy work for European transition to sustainability. Shortly after, the Covid-19 pandemic has spread with alarming speed and bringing economic activity to a near standstill since spring 2020. Governments have been injecting liquidity and supporting businesses over the past months with the vision of creating a more sustainable future. This article represents a reflection on the opportunity the Covid-19 pandemic represents to help redesign the boards' governance to better address future health and climate challenges and attune themselves to the imminent sustainability and climate change policy and regulatory changes.
