I have a background in sociology, and am particularly interested in the use of digital media, -teaching tools and artefacts in education. I work with quantitative methods from a wide range of data sources, from surveys to website-scrapings, and with qualitative methods as field observations and interviews. I also use more mixed approaches, such as quantitative ethnography.
PhD about problems, positions and artefacts in group work
In my PhD I investigate how groups work when they face uncertainty in artefact-mediated science education. With outset in 2-3 persons groups i 8th grade, I investigate who gets to be uncertain and how, among the material conditions their collaboration happens under.
