PhD project
University of Copenhagen september 2009 – maj 2013 | Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences Supervised by Dr. Michael F. Lyngkjær and Prof. David B. Collinge
Including as a visiting scientist collaborated with: Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Århus University, Flakkebjerg, Denmark and College of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Exeter, Devon, UK The research is to investigate (1) the transcriptional and hormonal signalling networks of genes involved in penetration resistance in barley towards powdery mildew fungus and focus on a plant-specific transcription factor by generating transgenic barley plants with reduced gene expression using RNA interference (RNAi) (2) the promoter regulation of the transcription factor by generating transgenic barley plants carrying own promoter fused with GUS and GFP reporter.
