N2 - The Cochrane collaboration metaanalysis of propofol use during colonoscopy found a faster patient recovery, higher patient satisfaction and unchanged complication rate compared to traditional sedatives. Patient groups consisted mostly of ASA I-II-patients, therefore the study is inconclusive with regard to the risks for sicker patients.
