This article deals with the Pentecostal Christianity and the relation to the other by looking at theological and practical responses on how Pentecostals deal with the world that generally is seen to be infused by evil. By first looking into some broad theological themes on how negotiate the social world in which Pentecostals reside, the theological base will be discussed against empirical material sampled in the context of Zanzibar, East Africa. Situating a different trajectories of Pentecostal theological developments in the context of the Pentecostal congregation of City Christian Centre in Zanzibar reveals how several Pentecostal themes in relation to the other, which in this case is a Muslim dominated social context, is put in play at once. It highlights how modes of seclusion work along engagements in which modes of spiritual warfare are called into practice.
