In this presentation, I offer three examples of how research can be integrated in laboratory teaching in ways that move beyond standard exercises.
My talk takes its point of departure in my postdoctoral project, named ‘Reinventing research-based education at the university,’ in which I follow a strategic initiative of the University of Copenhagen to develop the university’s main aim, namely of offering research-based education.
My aim is to describe three very different ways of integrating research in teaching, which will raise new questions about how we might develop lab teaching, and also what the pitfalls may be, when we try to do so.
