N2 - In Denmark, all higher education programs must include a course onphilosophy of science. Therefore, a group of researchers at Copenhagen BusinessSchool (CBS) are developing a smartphone application where informationabout central theoretical paradigms and concepts from philosophy of sciencecan be visualized and disseminated in an easily accessible and systematic manner. This will be achieved by entering structured knowledge about conceptsfrom philosophy of science in both Danish and English into a terminology andknowledge base which will provide the opportunity to “navigate in conceptuallandscapes” (here used metaphorically for terminological ontologies) in thesame way as we navigate in maps. The result of the project will be a tool thatcan help students in their studies and support their information retrieval. Theproject is based on existing technologies and research in knowledge organizationand knowledge management. In this paper we will present the first versionof a terminological ontology of central paradigms.
