N2 - Atrial fibrillation (AF) and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) are two cardiovascular conditions that often coexist. Strain phases of both the left and right atria are more impaired in paroxysmal AF patients with HFpEF than those without HFpEF in spite of comparable global longitudinal strain of the left ventricle. Atrial function may differentiate paroxysmal AF patients with HFpEF from those without HFpEF.
