PORTICO I is a prospective, single-arm, nonrandomized, multicenter registry assessing the performance and safety profile of the Portico THV for treatment of severe symptomatic AS in patients at high or extreme surgical risk in a real-world setting. Detailed information on the study device and design was reported previously. 1 The study was performed in accordance with the most current versions of the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki and any regional or national regulations as appropriate. All patients gave informed consent for participating in PORTICO I. This study was sponsored by Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical).
