In my research, I investigate how political institutions, esp. elections/election rules and power-sharing, affect political inclusion, polarisation and cooperation in heterogeneous societies. I specialise on countries undergoing transition towards democracy, on Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union, and in particular on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia.
